Weekend at IU

My weekend was rather fun... so here's the scoop.

Got my party dress on and I'm going out. Okay not really. Friday was Steve's birthday and I look him out to dinner at Olive Garden. We had a really good time. I didn't take any pictures of the two of us.. silly me but I just got this new dress and I really wanted a good reason to wear it.

Saturday Kate and I took a drive to IU for Ball State vs. Indiana the trip was suppose to be a 2 1/2 hour trip... NO I got stuck in my first traffic jam. It took us for hours to get there. This small town girl couldn't handle that. My brother Ryan was at IU as well and it was fun to hang out with him and see him. We hooked him up with a Ball State T-Shirt we couldn't have him claiming he was an IU fan that just can't happen.

Ball State beat IU which was awesome, but one of our players got injured, Dante Love. Dante had actually asked me out on a date the week before that. I told him I wasn't single and he still persisted, he is quite halarious. Anywho, he was our star reciever but put his head down while getting tackled and had a spinal facture. After a five hour surgery he could move all his appendages... a miracle I'd say. He won't ever be able to play football again, or any contact sport for that matter. He's decided that he is going to take on baseball once he heals up. What a trooper.

The next morning we went to Denny's and boy oh boy I wore the wrong t-shirt. Just a black shirt that said ball state on it. Well I didn't think I was going to come out of there alive. We went to breakfast with one of the IU football players that we knew and alot of his teammates were there and they kept calling him a traiter. See if we welcome any of them if they come to BSU hah it was fun though. The fun had to come to an end though...

To my Dear Father...

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of my Dad on this computer but I've been hearing rumors that my dad isn't getting enough attention on my blog. A little bird flew to my dorm room in Muncie and said that I blog about my mom, my friends, and my brothers... but my dad wasn't in the picture and he was a little bumbed out. Well guess what Dad.. this blog is to YOU and YOU ONLY!

I do have the best father in the world... He would do just about anything for me. Me being the youngest of three and not to mention the only girl we could say I'm Daddy's little girl and will forever be. Prime example would be when my friends were trying to get me to get a tatoo and said they'd pay for it and everything... Well my dad HATES tatoo's and said that if I got one it would pretty much send him over the edge or so I heard. Well I didn't do it the only reason being I didn't want to upset my Father... may sound kind of dumb but it's the truth.

One thing that I miss the most is Dad's cooking. My dad is a WONDERFUL cook. He makes my favorite foods and he always makes them perfect (mom you are a good cook too but this isn't about you sorry)

Ever since I was little my Dad and I always attended these girl scout father daughter dances and they were alot of fun. It was a date for just me and my papa. Our last dance was always Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carslie and when I have my father daughter dance at my wedding that song will be playing. It's "our song" I guess you could say.

My dad has taught me alot of things and recently he decided he wants to teach me how to weld but I vow agaisnt it because I don't want to be a complete hilbilly. I can't really help some of it see as how I was born into it. :/ Luckily I will get to change my last name someday! haha JK (but serisouly)

I also miss my Dad's sense of humor and boy oh boy does he have a good one. There doesn't go a moment where I'm not laughing and/or running away from him embarassing me. He's good at that too. Some day he is sure to write a book called "Markology" seeing as how his name is Mark and he makes stuff up all the time and thinks he has his own pholosphy to life. It's quite halarious actually.

Well Dad there is a ton more I could say about you.. but being the busy bee I am I must cut it short. To the greatest Dad ever.. I LOVE YOU! :)

I miss my friends

As most of you know... Once I make friends I'm a very sincere
friend and keep them for the long hall. Well three weeks into school and I miss
my friends. It kind of hit me of all the good times we've had and I miss those.
I know I'm having some great times here but it's just weird.

My Kelsey friend... we had alot of great times together and I will be visiting her at Purdue soon.
And her little sister Allison aka my Waltzing Partner. She taught me how to Waltz during gymnastics season last year and ALWAYS makes me smile.
Three blondes and a burnette... four best freinds seperated three ways. Krista and Kindra went off to Hunington while Kalyn is at Taylor and of course i'm all Ball state.

Allison, Darian and I having a great time.

The Kaiser twins... I worked with them this summer and they would always give me the best hugs :) And Rachel who was a sweetheart as well.

The boys... Tyson is playing Varsity football at Trine State (formerly known as
Tri-State) Jordy is at Hunington with Kindra and Krista, Eric is at Indiana
Weslyan, and Connor is a boilermaker. These guys are my favorite boys in the
world.

All of us minus Kalyn... The good old days!

And then there's Burnsie aka Robby Burns... We always have the best time together and he is at Bethel.

October 3rd I'm coming home for Wawasee's homecoming and will reunit with all my friends.. CAN'T wait.

Gary Allan

I wasn't to sure what to blog about... and since I didn't keep on my blog all summer I'll catch you up on some fun times I had. I went to a Gary Allan Concert in Ft. Wayne it was alot of fun.
We got pretty close it was in a park and we just kind of wiggled our way to the front.
I loved this guy's kilt... and he was awesome on his guitar as well.

This was an awesome concert! He is an amazing preformer.

Steve was the one who took me. We had alot of fun together. :)

On the way home though things were a little different. We went to Hooters and it was really good! So we were driving back from Ft. Wayne and I'm driving going about ten over cuz i'm on a highway right.. WRONG. Columbia City cops didn't think so either. So I pull over.. BUT I pull over to the left cuz its a two way highway and I'm on the left anyway.. it seems logical to me but once again.. WRONG. I got a ticket for speeding and a warning for pulling over on the wrong side of the road. Who knew? Apparently everyone that we were with did but didn't bother to tell me until after the fact.. oh well another lesson learned. But it was a great time reguardless.

Congrats Matt and Lindsey!

I've always wanted a sister and now my dream is coming true pretty soon. Well, kinda, Matt my brother and Lindsey just got engaged on Wednesday. I am super excited! They are getting married next summer.

Matt came home on Wednesday and took Lindsey out to the lakefront and talked for a little bit and ended up on one knee with this ring. Lindsey was totally surprised! Congrats guys! (the picture was taken on a phone so its not the greatest quality of a picture sorry)

Kate the Great

So today was a not so great day. I was running on four to five hours of sleep, am waiting on a visit from aunt flow, and everything just seemed to be going wrong of course. I had a paper due by midnight tonight and couldn't find any of the info i needed. Got home around ten after a long night of babysitting to find out that all the food places are closed and JENI IS STARVING... The people I was babysitting for said they'd be back around 8 or 8:30 well they didnt' come back till ten after nine therefore I missed yet another hall meeting. So on my way back to my dorm I sit at the bus stop for 15 to 20 mins in the dark by the lonesome carrying all my laundry from the weekend. I get back to my room and just break down to Kate... as soon as I say I'm starving she gets up and makes me a PB&J in a heart shape and cut up *my favorite* strawberries and poured me a tall glass of milk while I worked on my stupid paper.
I vote Kate the best roommate of the year award. I don't think many roommates could top that one. She definitely made my night a whole lot better. THANKS KATE!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Charlie the Cardinal
We had alot of fun tailgaiting and ran into Charlie
Kate and I were watching the corn hole games
Kate randomly likes to take pictures of me at awkward times.
This being one of them.
The guy I was standing by was wasted and was cracking me up!

Gotta fule up on some DC. Never go a day without it.

This could turn out to be a bad thing *FRESHMAN 15* YIKES!

This is definately a moment to remember due to the fact that Kate HATES pop. She never ever drinks it.
trying to imitate Betty Boop here but you can't see the fan in this picture.
Kate and I got all hyped up before the football game!

Right before the game.

We crushed Northeastern!

SHOWER TIME!!

we both just woke up gotta get ready for the day...
That was like the first day..
we've already failed at trying to shower everyday its just to much work.
not that I did in highschool but you get the point.

Exibit A: We are going out and neither of us felt like getting ready so we threw our hair back and off we went. And I must say we don't look to bad for no effort.

Can't go without my first day of school picture.

My mom always used to take a picture of us before our first day of school no matter what age.

Kate didn't want to get out of bed to take it thus we have a downward picture.

I had myself a little carpet picinic.

School is a blast. Kate and I make the most of everything. Neither of us have missed a class yet. So I'd say we are off to a pretty good start.
