I've been Tagged

Its my turn to tell of my weirdness... so prepare yourselves.

Weird Fact #1

One of my biggest pet peevs is when people touch my neck/under my chin. Its a very weird phobia that I have. When I was younger my brother and I got in a fight and he grabbed my neck and started sqeezing.. ever since I've never liked my neck being touched.

Weird Fact #2

If you know me you know that I'm a small sized girl.. I weigh about 110 pounds and am 5'2"... Well don't let that fool you because I can put down the food. My favorite meal is Ribs and baked potatoes. Once when we were in Flordia on a family vacation we went out to eat and what I ordered a full rack of bbq baby back ribs, a house salad, a loaded baked potato, calimari(don't know how to spell it) that was the appitizer. and chocolate cake for dessert... and I ate every last bit of it! :) What can I say I have a love for food.

Weird Fact #3

Every year before I go to a semi formal dance or prom when I'm all dressed up my family makes me take a stupid picture. One year I was holding a shot gun in front of my brother's jeep. Last year for prom I put boxing gloves on and posed.. my parents labeled it "her prom date won't be messing with her"

Weird Fact # 4

Well as an 18 year old.. I acutally like and get along with my parents. hah You may not think that's all that weird but compared to alot of people my age its kind of rare. My parents know everything about me..

Weird Fact # 5

I HATE it when people fart on my bed. haha and if you know me I'm not one to keep things in (if ya know what i'm saying) If I have to let one go, I will get out of my bed and then get back in when relieved. I feel like it will soak in or something I donno..

Weird Fact #6

Most of the deepest talks I've had with people have been in the bathroom. I'll spare the details. (on a side note) its also weird that two of my weird facts have to do with bodily functions

Werid Fact #7

I can sleep in the most awkward positions. I love to sleep. I'm always the first one asleep at friends' houses. I also hate to be interrupted when I'm asleept. Doesn't matter where I am or how hard or small the place, I can still manage to fall asleep.

I would tag 7 people but the sad thing is I don't now 7 people on here so I think I'm outta luck... but I still wanted to do it :)

New Friend

So I need to catch up on a few things but i'm going to get to the in last post but I got so excited about somthing I just felt the need to blog about it so here it goes..

Today I signed up for this find a roommate search thing on the Ball State website and saw some pretty strange profiles let me tell you!! Then later I went to an informational meeting in Ft. Wayne about BSU and I could mingle with other student hoping I would find a roommate and I have been praying for the right roommate for some time now. When I get home I have a new message on my profile from a girl named Kate. I read her profile and we were 99.9% compadable. I was getting exciting. So I messaged her back and we exchanged AIM screen names have been talking for the past hour and a half. I don't think I've ever met someone more like me. It was kind of irry how alike we were... for example she plays soccer and couldn't play her senior year becasue she had surgery on her ankles.. HELLO I couldn't do gymnastics becuase of shoulder surger (try to say that the times fast) that was just one of many weird things that were alike about us. We are both easy going people and have the same interest. It was weird when I looked at her facebook.. all the pictures with her and her friends looked exactly like all the pictures with me and my friends.

We both agreed that we like each other and that we would continue talking just to get to know each other more.. it was really funny b/c i felt really stupid like i was on a dating network or somthing but it really worked out and When we talked about getting to know each other more we both laughed b/c it sounds really funny. But God has blessed me once again! I really hope it works out! When I first started talking to her though i was like this is to good to be true and I thought she would be like this dirty nasty girl who has a good personalitly but thats all which sounds mean but everyone thinks it! haha but she's not at all which was another plus.. but thats all for my excitement tonight! until next time...

Awards Night

Wawasee Gymnastics Awards night is like none other! We laugh we cry and the seniors say their good byes (I rhymed)haha... Needless to say its a rather emotional night. The best part is the gag gifts though and Nika called me and asked to borrow my sling a few nights ago and I got it back tonight but it was slightly altered. It is now a concession stand so I can sell things next year at college and make money. I also got a grow a boyfriend so I won't have to find a boyfriend next year. My coaches are so thoughtfull!

Its weird to think that gymnastics is over for me. Its been apart of me for so long and now its all over no more meets or anything. It was sad to see all the pictures from the past four years. Next year will be weird but I'm excited.. I'm ready for a change and to experience something totally different.

I'm going into the Athletic Training program at Ball State and hopefully I can do my hours with the gymnastics team.. that would be really awesome. But I am really going to miss all the girls on my team. We had so much fun together and have so many memories. Not to mention my coaches they all have helped me through so much its unbelieveable. They were more than just coaches. All three of them Nika, Darcy, and Lindsay were all great role models and mentors!! I really don't think there are three better coaches in the world!

Unusal Soldiers with Unusal hats

I must start of saying that I am new to blogspot and never have been very great at blogs but I'm trying alot of new things lately so we'll see how this all works out :)

Eric, Kalyn, and I all decided to head over to the UP mall today and get a feel for talking to strangers and, if the oppertunity came up, to share Christ with them. All three of us have been on missions trips together and have learned alot through those, but sharing Chirst in places where we live and go on a daily basis was a bit of a struggle for me at least. I get in the mind set where I'm never going to see these people again because I live no where near them but that needs to change. We were all a little nervous going in not really knowing what God had in store for us. We decide to go eat at the food court and sit with someone who was sitting alone and keep them company, we sat and the lady left no more the 3 mins. later... needless to say I was getting a little discouraged but served in other ways: Kalyn and Eric shared their pizza and I shared my table with people looking for seats. Then we see Caleb Bislow, the guy who just got done speaking at our church for on fire rallies Sunday through Wednesday. He was the one who encouraged us to be Unusal Soldiers for Chirst and there he was. He came over and spoke with us and prayed for us as soon as he left we were filled with the urge to talk to people. Kalyn and Eric saw two different people sitting on benches and just sat right next to them and started talking, while I was on my way search for someone to befriend. After procrastinating big time I finally found a man sitting alone and worked up my courage to talk to him. We had a nice conversation first getting to know each other and then it evolved into religion... we had alot of the same views and it was encouraging to me to know that I could just walk up to someone and start a nice conversation. Although we didn't lead anyone to Christ today we got out there and pushed through our comfort zones. We learned alot through today and we are one step closer to being an Unsual Soldier. We also had alot of fun.. as you can see in the picture. I also realized today I am really lucky to have the friends that I have, who all want to share Christ. It's alot eaiser going at it with friends than it is going at it alone.

Unusal Soldiers. You might wonder what I'm talking about. During our On First Rallies at NMC Caleb pushed us to go to unusal places for God. Basically wherever and whenever God calls us to go thats where we need to go. That is what I want to be. Someone who will go anywhere for God, not just church events, sporting events, and other things I'm interested in.. but go out to places where I am really uncomfortable to share the news. For example last night Caleb went to a gay bar to share Jesus. Just really reaching out of my comfort zone and doing crazy things for Christ, that's where I want to be in my walk right now.
