A couple of weekends ago we celebrated Lindsey's Bachelorette party. Friday night we had some girls over for dinner and some games.

We constructed this cute little fireman and played pin the hose on the fireman. Seeing as how Matt (Lindsey's finance and my brother) is a fireman this was hilarious.

After that we got a little crazy with some twister! I can't remember the last time I played twister but we had a blast

Here we have a massive dog pile on Lindsey... we wrestled and even got into a liquorish war.
I stole Lindsey's vale and walked around telling people I was engaged.

The next day us four girls below got up and headed to Chicago were we walked around Navy Pier, did a little shopping, and went to a really nice dinner. Afterwards we just hung around our room and watched movies and talked.

This weekend was a very fun weekend!! Can't wait to have Lindsey apart of my family! :)

The Weekend.

I had a very eventful weekend to say the least!

Friday night I get home and I had a little date with one of my old friends Jordan Taylor (Fred) and we went to Ruby Tuesday where Krista works to see her! It was a really good time to catch up with Fred and to see Krista as well. Afterward Fred and I went back to my house and sat in the hot tub for a bit until I was about ready to pass out from my lack of sleep.

The next morning my Dad woke me up bright and early to go out for breakfast at Syracuse Cafe. I just love the little cafe's in Syracuse reminds me of how much I love being in a small town. You walk and know the majority of the people in there.

So after breakfast Dad and I headed out to Wawasee golf course. We had so much fun golfing!!
I am a terrible golfer but I still won because we declared before the game that high score wins!
Dad said our goal was to finish with the same ball we started and that we did! :)
I had a little golf dance going on... when I would walk up to tee off I would always hit my ankles with the club and ended up jumping around like an idiot because it hurt so bad. I did this at least 3 times. You'd think I'd learn my lesson

That evening I went out to eat with my Aunt Angie and soon to be sister-in-law Lindsey. We went to eat at NoaNoa! Yum!

For Lindsey's bachelorette party Angie got tickets for the three of us to go see the Chippendales at the Wagon Wheel.
This was one of the funniest things I've ever seen! We had a really good time needless to say!

Sunday rolls around and I'm really excited because my friend Alisha and I are planning on hanging out. I hadn't seen Alisha is three years or so and we slowly started talking again last summer when she had written me a letter.

I had talked to her on facebook and said hey I'm coming home would you want to hang out and she was all for it. We went to get ice cream and took her kids to the park to play and they are so adorbale! It was alot of fun... we talked about old funny memories and how much people have changed. It's so good to have Alisha back in my life she has changed so much. It was a great way to end my weekend!

When I got back to my room Kate's dad had come up over the weekend to take our lofts down and I come back to a totally different room but I like it. I love not having to climb up into bed.

Not a very good view from the picture but you get the idea!

study study study---and a mini date ;)

Right now I am running on zero hours of sleep. Silly me being the procrastinator that I am forgot that I have a five page paper due at ten o'clock this morning. On top of that I have a chem exam at 11. I know I just stayed up all night writing a paper what am I still doing awake blogging at that? Well my theory is that if I fall asleep for two hours I will have to wake up and won't want to wake up and I'll be exhausted for my test so I figured why not stay awake and study more and crash later! I know my plan will probably kick me in the butt later.. like when i wake up early tomorrow morning to go golfing with my Dad and I can't lift a single club. Hmm I shoulda thought that one through.

Last night mid-studying I had a mini-date. hah It wasn't really a date but I was meeting up with this guy (Rocky) to go watch a show. Met him there and paid for myself so take it as you will. I had no idea what I was going to see I get there and the sign said Mr. and Ms. BSU thinking it was some sort of pageant. Little did I know it was a body building competition. It was probably the most interesting thing ever. Everyone was ripped and they painted their bodies in this bronze color and stood up there and flexed and did these routines it was very entertaining to say the least. But I met this guy on spring break but he goes to Ball State and is a Junior. He's really cute and really nice.... BUT... I'm not sure if I could see myself dating him. But it was definatly a fun get away from studying.

After my chem exam I'm headed home and have a very eventful weekend ahead of me... finally something to blog about! Stay tuned :)

Coming to an end

It's been awhile since I have blogged and honestly I don't know what to blog about.. my life hasn't been too excited these past few weeks, with the exceptions of my weekends but I'm waiting on pictures to blog about that silly me I left my camera at home.

The semester is coming to an end and I only have two weeks then three days of finals! This semester was easy for the most part... and as for my grades good all except one. Ut Oh! I feel like a failure but when your professor is ninety years old, wrote the book for the class, reads straight from power points in a three hour long class what do you expect? Definitely not for Jeni to pay any kind of attention.

Looking back on my first year of college....

Some things that I have learned

1. There aren't just two types of people in this world. Coming from a small town my world was the size of a peanut. I had been a few places and experienced quite a lot but haven't really met many people that were out of the ordinary. Well I learned quickly there are a lot strange people with many different beliefs. I had always heard about other beliefs or nonbeliefs but they seemed so surreal to me until I actually met or talked to people. For example, there is a girl who lives in my building that thinks she is a witch. She asked someone if they wanted her to put a hex on someone else... she was totally serious! talk about creepy!

2. Not everyone is like me. That kind of goes along with #1 but being in a small living area with people I've learned a lot about other people and how they work like what they say and what they really mean. I have learned a lot more about people after living in the dorms.

3. I hate loose hair. I grew up in a house with pretty much all boys except my mom and the only hair I really saw was my own. Kate and I have to clean our rug like every other day if we want it to be clean cuz our hair sheds so much and just sticks to the rug... we don't clean our rug very often to you can imagine the grossness

4. Sticky notes are my best friend. I make tons of lists and reminders on sticky notes without them I would forget what I was doing or be lost.

5. The value of a dollar. Things I could get for a dollar... $.89 cheeseburger at McDonalds. One load of laundry. 45 mins at a parking meter (which isn't long enough... $150 dollars worth of parking tickets later I learned my lesson). $.89 for a bag of popcorn... for awhile I would eat two bags a day! I cut back.

6. Who my real friends are from highschool. I keep in contact with a few people from highschool but not as many as I thought I would sad but I'm glad for the ones I have.

Friends that I have made...

Allie, Kate, Sara, Brianna, me and Kelly... These are the 5th floor girls that I have come to love! Kate and Kalyin are not in this picture but they belong there!
Jess, Kate, me, Charissa, and Taylor... the girls i will be living with next year :)
the two girls on the end are Chelsie and Franie... both super nice and fun
This guy behind me is Dave... oh Dave! Super HOT Dave! (not a great picture but oh well) lol SOO glad I met him... he's nice to look at but too bad he has a girlfriend. From my face you could tell he's a funny guy lol
Sara and Avery... they have been together for a really long time and they are two of my most favorite people ever!! I will miss them alot this summer!

That's just a few things to look back! Summer here I come :)
