Coaching

I have been looking for a job down here at Ball State cuz guess what Jeni has NO money! I was searching through job posting on a website through BSU and saw MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING COACH NEEDED I thought to myself-- that would be perfect for me! I had to send in my resume and a letter of interest, which I did, and the guy emailed me right back and said he'd contact me by the end of the week to set up and interview! I was soo excited!

I was debating whether or not I was going to try out for cheerleading here or not. I really didn't think my shoulder could handle it but I was talking myself into it because I missed being involved in some sort of activity. Seeing that position opened it made me realized I don't have to be in a sport to be involved I could be coaching one. I would love it if I got the job becuase I feel like I would be on a team still. The weird part of it is that I would be head coach. It kind of made me realize that I'm growing up. I'm not sure how I feel about this.. all I've ever known is to be a kid and I'm good at it! haha.

Please pray that my interview goes well! I'm really excited about it!

Coming soon.... blog about Spring Break 2009.

Spring Break 2009

I know its taken me awhile to update my blog but I was away on spring break for a week and this week I have four exams and one next week so I figure my blog wasn't on my top priority! Well now that I have two test down I figured a good blog break was needed.

My and four of my girls friends (Jess, Kate, Taylor, and Charissa) all the girls I will be living with next year took a road trip down to Panama City Beach in Kate's mom's minivan. I was a little nervous for the car ride because five girls in a small space for a long time just never seems like a good idea BUT it was... we all had alot of fun and no fighting! So we get there and our hotel was right on the ocean and there was alot of activity sponsored by the Navy(sorry Matt) right outside our hotel

So my vacation...

we met these five guys from ball state and we had to have a team of five guys and five girls to enter a tug of war tourney... we didn't win but made it to the second round.. it was fun!I went to a lil' Wayne concert and it was so much fun! we got pretty close... he only did like 5 songs though.
This was our pool... Pretty sweet huh!

This is one of those activities.. this is me womping Kate in the head! We had alot of fun.. there was also a huge blow up boxing ring that had like soap on the bottom so we slipped around while boxing... i had a hay day with that! Look at the picture.. no one wanted to mess with me haha
So whenever I met people and tried to take a picture with them they would always just pick me up. I probably have 15 different pictures of people picking me up.
My Dad and brother Ryan thought it would be funny to imitate me/make fun of me.. but it's a pretty hilarious picture I thought.

Day One of injuries... Kate my not to graceful roomate fell UP the stairs and gashed her knee open! Me being the firstaid/lifeguard/soon to be nurse that I am ran to walgreens to buy super expensive bandages and bandage her up. She probably should have had stiches but steri-strips will do.

Day two of injuries... Charissa was fighting on the jousting things in the picture above and some guy nocked her off and she got a HUGE looks like road rash on her thigh.

I was waiting for my turn but Jeni came up injury free! Yes, I was shocked myself.

What we would do is lay out on the beach all day and play volleyball and jump in the ocean (which was freezing) then at night we would get all dressed up and go out to dance! It was soooo much fun!

One of the last things we did that week was all go out to dinner. We pretty much didn't eat the whole time because non of us had money so we ate continental breakfast, ramen, mac and cheese and pop corn... how health right? So we splurged on our last night there.. we deserved it. We went to this place called Pineapple Willy's it was really good. In their shop you can see we had some fun trying on sun glasses. That night Jess and I decided to stay in and not go to any clubs that night and we had SO much fun. We stayed in our room on the 3rd floor.. and there were a group of guys on the first floor all playing beer pong and we took buckets of water and just dumped it on them... they were so mad but it was SO funny!

All in all we had a great week! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Home Sweet Home

I haven't blog in a while because I have been pretty sick with a cold. Not fun when I've got classes to go to and the only way to get there is to walk through the cold. I am sooooo tired of it being cold. In less than a week though I will be sitting on a warm beach in Panama City, FL! I can't wait! So this weekend I needed to go home to get my summer clothes and bathing suits.

When I got home my brother said that he was going to take me out to dinner and a movie and I was super excited for it b/c he told me I didn't have to pay or anything. I love it when my brother's are nice. I got to choose everything that night it was nice to be spoiled again. :) We went to dinner at the one and only Hacienda. I can't believe how many people don't know about Hacienda! It makes me sad that there isn't one close to me but it's just that much better when I come home. All these city folk are missing out on it. So after dinner we went to see the movie Taken. This movie was a great movie!! It definitely scared me though. It's about two girls around my age taking a euro trip and get kidnapped by these people who traffic women and the dad goes and looks for his daughter. It was a very intense movie and scared me because I'm going on a trip with my friends in a week and those kinds of thing scare me. But the movies was a good one for sure.

So on our way home from Goshen I was looking out the window and realized that the stars were out. The last time I saw the stars like that was last summer when I was at home. In Muncie there are no stars! Too many darn lights. I really miss seeing the stars! Another thing that I realized I'm not too fond of is traffic. I miss the country roads where there are no stop lights. In the country there is a million ways to get anywhere. Here there is only one way to get everywhere and I do not like that. I'm just a country girl stuck in a city.. but I'll survive!

Also when I was home I got to have breakfast with my best friend Krista and it was SO great to see her. We went to Wawasee Cafe at like 9 and didn't leave until noon. It was a good time. Krista and I can not talk for a bit and then pick right back up from where we left off. It's so great to still know that I have some old friends that still care :)

Brothers.

I didn't realize how much I missed my brothers until this weekend. I almost didn't come home this weekend but I am really glad that I did. This morning my brother's and I went out to breakfast and had a very civil meal and just kind of caught up on each other's lives. It was really nice. I am currently having boy issues and it was really nice to just talk to my brother's about it and having them care enough to give me advice without them saying, "Who do we have to kill?" They say this often but it was really nice that when I had a real problem I could talk to them about it and they help me reassure my decision. Now that we are all getting older and parting our seperate ways it's nice to know that we are still close.

Tonight after we got home from Grandma and Grandpa's house where we had birthday dinners... Matt Ryan Lindsey and I all got in the hottub (just the kids) and had a good time. I really enjoyed the time we got to spend together this weekend and even though Matt and Ryan can be very annoying at times and tend to pick on me WAY too much I'm still glad they are MY brother's and I wouldn't change it for the world. Thanks Guys you made my weekend a whole lot better.

So I just got back from my 5:00 aerobics class and I'm beat. I think I am literally in the worse shape of my life. I was in better shape as a two year old. My whole life I have been active and in sports well no so much any more. When it comes to working out on my own I am bit of a slacker. I signed up to take aerobics which I thought would be a fun class because I like dancing and jumping around as a posed to running and lifting weights. As part of the class we had to walk a mile which doesn't sound to hard right? WRONG! That was probably the hardest thing to do. We were not aloud to run and that's all I wanted to do the whole time. I got so confused on walking really fast. My little legs don't know how to walk fast they only know how to run. Considering my best friend in highschool was 6 foot tall and a superstar at track (Krista Spearman) when she would power walk I would be jogging beside her. Ugh. So another down side is when I was walking I could feel my legs jiggling. This was not a good feeling! No one wants to feel their legs jiggle. If anything this mile walk was a wake up call to get my butt in shape!

Today I also had a mental break down with my Chemistry homework. Trust me you don't really want to know... let's just say it ended with me throwing my book and crying. So i went to get a box of tissues a high shelf in my room and well I have to climb things to get anything that's on a top shelf and my leg fell asleep and I fell down luckily I'm okay, but I just layed there feeling sorry for myself. Finally after literally the 100th time I did this problem I got it right. I considered my self winning against chemistry just because I got it right and didn't give up. But let me tell you it was stressful!!!

Now I am off to Monday night dinners with my girls. Me and four of my friends always have dinner together on monday nights. It's fun and relaxing. Afterwards we watch the Bachlor together. After my day I'd say I'm ready for my Monday night dinner!
